Japan Launches Mosque-On-Wheels

Yasuharu Inoue, Chairman of the Mobile Mosque Executive Committee has unveiled that the organizing committee fears that there would not be much of the space in the mosques as the event will witness thousands of the Muslim visitors for sure. The Mobile Mosque was unveiled just as outside the Toyota Stadium this week, in Toyota City which is home to the global powerhouse that shares its name. The vehicle is on the whole based on a 25-ton truck that holds an internal capacity of 48 square meters and it can accommodate up to 50 people after extending out its cabin in an accordion-configuration. A separate section is also part of it that will allow the worshipers to perform wudu or spiritual cleansing all by means of using water stored that is accessible via taps just like the set up in a typical mosque.

A Japanese company has created on with the mosque on wheels that its head hopes that will make Muslim visitors feel at home during the course of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. This mobile mosque will be on the whole be able to travel to different Olympic venues as needed as it has been stated as according to Yasuharu Inoue, CEO of Yasu Project who has created the facility. The main aim of this creation is all about being the perfect image of the open and hospitable country place for all the religions. The moving mosque can accommodate 50 people. It is to be mentioned that Japan is home to an estimated 100,000 to 200,000 Muslims. At the same time, people coming all the way from Indonesia, Malaysia, Africa, the Middle East and, for example, refugees who are coming from Syria are able to use the mosque as a tool to engage them as to promote world peace. Japanese capital will be hosting a summer edition for the second time, as from 24 July to 9 August 2020. This Mobile mosque could travel to different Olympic venues as needed according to the requirements of the Muslims.

In this vehicle, the back of the modified 25-ton truck flipped up to reveal an entrance and so then the side slid out that is doubling the width of the truck. The 48-square-meter room can accommodate 50 people. This is such a good initiative by the side of Japan as where the religion of Islam and so as the Muslims will be given a space to offer prayers without any restrictions. This is for the first time that any country has introduced with one such kind of mobile truck vehicle.
