McLaren Automotive is a British automaker whose foundation was put by Bruce McLaren .It is located at the McLaren Technology Campus in Woking, Surrey. It manufactures sports and luxury cars, generally shaped in-house at designated production facilities. McLaren Automotive has set-up a global network of over 50 dealerships in main automotive markets. It is working in collaboration with technical partners counting Akebono, AkzoNobel, ExxonMobil, Pirelli, SAP and TAG Heuer, to develop the future range of revolutionary cars and innovate the production techniques.

History

The understanding gained through Formula 1 and previous road car projects has been priceless. McLaren has more than 30 years of experience working with and developing carbon fibre and since 1981 has never built a car exclusive of a carbon chassis.

McLaren Automotive came into being an autonomous global car company in 2010 with the launch of the groundbreaking 12C and 12C Spider in 2011 and 2012 correspondingly. In 2013 limited-run McLaren P1™was introduced and keeping up with the plan, to bring in a new model or derivative each year, 650S Coupe and 650S Spider in March 2014 was unveiled.

McLaren Cars

In 2015, McLaren put forward its three-tier product structure. It comprises of range names (Sports, Super and Ultimate Series) and derivatives (LT, S and C) which are followed by power output in PS. Sports Series consists of the 570S Coupé and 540C Coupé. The Super Series takes in the 675LT and 650S, both available in Coupé and Spider derivatives.The most exclusive series being the Ultimate Series, comprising of the leading McLaren P1 and P1 GTR.
