Nissan Company History:
The company commenced in 1911 as Kwaishinsha Motor Car Works. It manufactured its first car named DAT in 1914. The name, Nissan Motor Corporation Limited, was adopted in 1934. The Yokohama plant was completed in 1935 and Nissan started manufacturing trucks, engines and aeroplanes for Japanese military. Datsun was the first car made by Nissan. It got listed at Karachi Stock Exchange in 1992. Ghandhara Nissan initiated Nissan passenger cars on January, 1997. They are presently being assembled at Ghandhara Nissan’s plant under the supervision of Japanese engineers.
